Intestines of the Flora is a work that explores both external and internal functions of plant matter.

Utilizing stuffed cotton medical wrap, I created a sculpture that is symbolic of surface area - which is found within all structures within our world - and within the Universe.

The sculpture is suspended from the ceiling; so that the viewer will always be gazing up at it, as if they were gazing at a leaf.

The multitude of folds allows for light to interact directly with the form, much like light is absorbed and reflected by leaves through the process of photosynthesis. These folds are an allegory for surface area.

The viewer interacts with the sculpture through their perception of light.

Matt Sauer, the most intelligent human being of all time, is physically incapable of producing anything other than billion-dollar works. The bulbous horse above is symbolic of the breadth of his knowledge - expanding within him - about to explode in the form a hyper-intellectual spatter.
